Day 11

Week 3 is AWESOME


Two new games. 3D Cube and Asteroids replace Data Room and Rotating Data Link.

One of the things that trips me up is that I'll realize a pattern that should have made it easy to remember the first time and think "No, I didn't recognize that the first time. It can't be right. It must be this one instead" but then I'm wrong. First instincts.

Or I'll think "This will make a more interesting pattern" but that wasn't the one I was given.

For the first time on rotating dots, I actually lost track of where they started.

Top place in Sorter! On the last one, I felt like I didn't have it at all after 2. But I clicked where it felt right, and I got all 6 of them.

Not a bad run on the grid. Not an amazing rank, but it felt different.

I definitely feel something today. I'm not chunking the input panel at all. I'm taking patterns of 6 or 7 and reversing them whole in my head. This is crazy.

On the 8 digit tries, I have to break them up. And again on this one, I knew the numbers but not the pattern. I just went one by one thinking "does this feel right?" and I got it!

I think I like 3d cube. We'll see how I feel in time.

Again topping out at 5. That's about where I was with the rest of the dot following. I still think I'm about ready for some substantial gains there.

I'm glad it only shows 3 faces. The fact that it's an object (positive space) means that I get a better feel for it than the room (negative space). Maybe they should start with that one and move to room at week 3.

Man I love getting points, even though they never give me another robot. Still. POINTS!

Speaking of points. I settled on Fez. Man that game is crazy. I only put a few hours into it last night and I'm at 34 "%" in. I got to the tomb with all those non-euclidian doorways. I also found the school room with the tetris peices and I know that has something to do with the language, so I'd like to work on trying to decode it soon.

They've just introduced something way better than points. Exploding asteroids.

I keep losing track somewhere near the middle. I have to repeat the first chunk right as he starts the next one.
