End of Week 3
3 out of 5 ain't bad. I'm well into the program and I really do feel different. I think I'm reading more, but I haven't been keeping track of it. I've been working harder around the house and not getting stuck avoiding things that I should be doing but don't feel like.
I've also had some pretty major revelations about how I've been living my life. I can't say I'm really more productive right now than I was, but I think that has a lot to do with setting up real goals and making plans to accomplish them.
I think the biggest setback this week has been the sunburn which I cannot wait to get rid of. What's funny is that it happened because I was actually too focused on pulling those weeds, so I guess I need to learn to turn it off sometimes and take a break.
This has also been the first week where I let my friends know about this blog. You'll notice that the comments have been disabled. I'm pretty jaded on the idea of comment systems in general and think that if you can't contact me on another channel, I'm probably not interested.
That being said, I think today I'm going to announce this to some of the communties I belong to and see if there's any interest there.
In all, I've enjoyed week 3. I think the new games they introduced kept me interested and the fact that they swap out some of my worst every other day is appreciated. I can come back to them fresh instead of getting bent out.
Oh, say. Let's get you some data.
So you can see my index (my overall score) is going up and up. I don't remember quite where my overall goal for the index improvement was, but I feel pretty good that I'll make it.
You can also see my focus times (the bottom bar) getting shorter. That's me responding quicker and thinking about it less. The top bar is mostly spent blogging, but occasionally a little day dreaming or stress ball time gets in. That bar was pretty big at the start of the week (42 mins) but has settled at around 25.
Everything right of the red bar happened this week. I started 3d Cube and Asteroids and you can see that I'm just exploding on the cube. I'll likely top out around 6 next week but hopefully I can break out again.
I've also started breaking out on the grids (Visual Data Link, Rotating Data Link, and Data Room). I predicted that last week and I'm very happy with my progress.
Everything else has either been drifting up or the bars are shortening (which means that I'm staying near my peak performance).
I've also been warned that I haven't been taking enough credit in my writing. I say "we" or "the" a lot, when really I'm the only one doing it. So with that I'M very happy with how I'VE been doing.
Day 15
Pretty good day, today. I wasn't resisting coming in and doing it, though I had to change my routine a little bit to fix up some issues with my summer plans and also to address my back.
So my burn has almost entirely stopped hurting, but has moved on to itching like crazy. It's not all the time, but when it hits hard it's like every alarm in my brain is going off at the same time. I think I have it mostly under control for now. Putting on a thick coat of aloe really helped last night, though in the morning it really needs to come off and at least it doesn't hurt to spray water directly onto it now.
Hopefully tomorrow the itching will go down and I can get back to normal.
But first, let's see about finishing Week 3.
Wow, I just demolished Rotating Dots. First place! I almost got a 7 but got mixed up halfway.
Not bad on Sorter.
Did pretty well on the grid. I was getting a few 7s.
My score wasn't the best on Input Panel, but it felt different. I was remembering the numbers in different groups.
I was rocking the cube almost entirely without thinking about it. I've crashed a little, but I've still got plenty to get back. But it was great. It was just flowing. Like when you're reading and the book just dissapears.
Again on the Input with Lid, I may not be scoring my best (I'm doing alright) but things feel different. I'm able to do 7 digits in one chunk without that much effort.
Wow. Crushed Blind Input. Almost got a 9, but not quite. My bar is probably a little long, but I went way up.
Hm. Not that great on Stabilizer. I mean I placed, but not well. I spent a lot of time instead writing up the weekly summary.
Let's finish off with Asteroids. (Roger that, Delta X-Ray)
Yesterday I was hoping to get a 6. Today, I bagged a 7.
And yes I will take an extra racer, thank you.
