Day 17
Not the best day, sure. But I think I'm getting back into it. I'll be back on Monday and start with another 3-1-2-1.
Ok. Coming back. Feeling Good. I'm almost totally recovered, physically. Well rested, etc.
I had my coach call yesterday. We talked about Thursday and all the progress I'm making. I'm technically in my goal area, but I've got plenty of time to make extra progress.
With all the failures last time, today should start off easy, so at least there's that.
Let's kick it off with Rotating Dots.
It's funny how I can get 5 just fine, but when I try for 6, it's the 5th one (not the 6th) that I miss.
Not bad, close to where I've been hanging out at least.
Pretty good on Sorter. I was starting to pair them and almost got a 7.
One of the things that I've learned is that I can recall static visual patterns just fine and if I can hook into the phonological loop, I can do even better. I think I need to try drawing. And not diagrams. I mean I can bust out a mean circuit diagram or a state space diagram upside down in my sleep. But I think actually capturing an image is something that I haven't really tried in a long time.
Not too bad on the grid, either.
Rocked Input Module pretty hard. Brain was pretty chattery, though. I had to take some breaks.
Onto the Cube. I had been getting them by barely paying attention. Then that became paying attention to other things, and that's a problem.
Somebody recently said that "If you zone out, it means your lost and you're not willing to admit it." I think Zoned Out is a brain state that just grabs as much information from everywhere and tries to grab onto whatever it can to make sense. I think meditation hijacks that state for its own purposes. I bet there are more things you can do with it.
Hmm... Too much time zoned out, causes boredom. You zone out in a lecture and you don't process it. You don't really learn when you're in that state.
Not bad on cube. Took a long time, though.
Blind Input was a bit of a fight, but I was able to keep the pace up.
Stabilizer didn't feel too bad, but because I started out so low, I didn't make it back onto the board.
Killed it on Space Whack. And by it, I mean those little green bastards.
